Belfast, Northern Ireland will play host to the 2011 MTV EMAs broadcasting live from Belfast’s renowned Odyssey Arena in early November.
Belfast has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade and has emerged as a centre for arts, culture and music, known for fostering emerging artists and turning out international chart toppers. Belfast’s vibrant nightlife and compelling music scene, combined with its young population, will provide the perfect backdrop for one of the world’s biggest nights in music.
The 2010 EMAs saw incredible success with surging ratings up 57% among 12-34 year olds, our unique visitors up 140%, more online live streams than ever before, and the show was a top trending topic on Twitter!
This year's goal is to make the show even bigger, better and louder than last year. Plus, the “MTV Europe Music Awards” will be officially changed to the “MTV EMAs,” as the show has evolved from being solely Eurocentric. This change will better reflect what the show has become - a truly global celebration of the music and artists that fans around the world love.
