NICKI MINAJ TO OPEN FOR BRITNEY'S FEMME FATALE TOUR!

After much speculation that the void created when Enrique Iglesias stepped down from opening duties on Britney Spears‘ Femme Fatale tour would be filled by current hip-hop queen bee Nicki Minaj, the partnership now appears to be confirmed. Enrique Iglesias’ ego couldn’t handle opening for Britney and Nicki might be the right choice here and although Im not a fan I think it's a good thing - especially if it means seeing a dead-eyed Britney struggling to stay upright while receiving one of Minaj’s now-signature lapdances!!

I was actually stanning a bit for Britney before the Album launched but then I heard the whole thing and to be honest - I dont really like it. Too much autotune and not enough talent anymore. THEN I saw her on GMA and was appalled at the sight of her trying to dance but she was an EPIC FAIL!

The Femme Fatale tour kicks off in Sacramento, CA on June 17th and encompasses 26 dates nationwide.

Song Writer Defends Britney Spears'

Songwriter Heather Bright, who penned tunes for Britney Spears' Femme Fatale, is defending the singer after blogs criticized her for having no co-writing credits on the new album.

Heather Bright Blog:
"I would just like to address one thing! The media is talking trash about how Britney didn't write any of the songs on her album … HELLO! Wake up everybody! NONE OF THESE ARTISTS WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS!!!!!! (there are a few exceptions … lady gaga, will.i.am/BEP, chris brown is starting to write a lot of his own stuff … ummmm … and now I'm running out of artists). Anyway … here's my thing … and I feel VERY passionate about this issue. Britney could have come to me, like all these other A-list artists, and said …


"Hey, you wanna be on my album? I'm gonna need writing credit for that song AND part of your publishing even though I didn't write anything! And then I'm gonna go on tour and gross $150 million in ticket sales and not give you any of that, even though I'm performing your song!"


"I could rattle off a laundry list of artists who I've had that conversation with! And I'm on the other end like … "Oh okay … so you wanna rape me, but just with the tip?!" *Prince side eye* Britney's one of the few artists I've worked with who didn't try to take something that wasn't hers. In my experience, from a business standpoint, her entire team is nothing less than a bonafide class act!"

a much better showing than the disastrous hold it against me video and song....this is my favorite song on the album so Im glad she improved however I can't be completely satisfied when a 44 year old Janet Jackson is still out-performing her in ever sense of the word! 

NICKI MINAJ TO TOUR WITH BRITNEY SPEARS??

Hold onto your wigs. Nicki Minaj may be heading out on the road with Britney Spears. The Young Money diva is said to be in negotiations to open for the pop queen’s summer tour.

According to reports that Spears has eyed Minaj as her opening act for the upcoming North American trek. Lawyers for the two stars are in “serious talks.”

Sources say that things are looking very good and that they should reach an agreement in the next day or so. The raptress would replace Enrique Iglesias, who pulled out of Spears’ tour at the last minute.


Nicki is currently traveling the country with Lil Wayne on his “I Am Music II” tour, which wraps April 28. Britney’s tour is scheduled to begin on June 17.

BRITNEY SPEARS BEING SUED FOR 10M!!!!

 Britney Spears is being sued by her former business partners for breach of contract, fraud and deceit!

The 29-year-old "Baby One More Time" hit-maker was slapped with the $10 million lawsuit on Wednesday which centers around her Radiance fragrance and multi-million dollar branding deal with beauty giant Elizabeth Arden, worth $15 million each year.
In the sensational suit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Britney and her father Jamie are accused of being "sneaky and underhanded" in their clandestine moves to cut Brand Sense Partner, LLC., out of a licensing agreement.


"Britney secretly made a separate deal with Elizabeth Arden in a sneaky underhanded effort to circumvent and evade its obligations to Brand Sense," the suit states.


"Effectively, Britney improperly and illegally cut Brand Sense out of the Elizabeth Arden deal."


Brand Sense accuses Britney of "concealment and evasive actions."


Jamie, who remains his trouble's daughter's conservator, was allegedly caught "red handed" acting on behalf of the singer.


"Brand Sense had a contractual right to a 35% commission on any Britney Spears-branded fragrance sold by Elizabeth Arden," the suit claims.


"But Mr. Spears complained that the commission was too high and said that Britney did not want to pay it."


A compromise deal was orchestrated, which would have delivered royalties directly to Britney.


However, the alleged scheme did not come to light until Elizabeth Arden sent a letter to Britney and Brand Sense, dated February 16, 2011, enclosing a revised royalty report which excluded the Radiance scent.


The agreement was nothing more than a "rouse and a cover-up for" for the Spears' "fraudulent scheme," it's alleged.


Spears released Radiance, the ninth scent in her collection, in September, last year.


Brand Sense is seeking declaratory relief in excess of $10 million, as well as compensatory and punitive damages.

Enrique May Still Tour With Britney

Even though Enrique Iglesias pulled out of Britney Spears' tour just hours after it was announced this morning, sources tell Billboard.biz that negotiations are under way that could result in a Spears/Iglesias tour taking place this summer, after all.

While some of the sticking points may be related to money -- and whether Iglesias would receive a percentage of the "back end" or box office receipts in addition to a per-show guarantee -- much of the problem seems to stem from perception, a source said.

Iglesias is a headlining artist and has been for some time, and would carry his own fully themed production on the tour. The language in the carefully-worded press release -- which was withdrawn from certain outlets shortly after it was sent today -- stated the pair would "tour together" but stopped short of calling it a "co-headlining" tour, the phrase commonly used for such superstar pairings as Billy Joel and Elton John, for example.

The general perception is that it's a Britney Spears tour: She's the headliner, she would close the show, and the announcement was timed with her appearance on "Good Morning America" and the release of her new album "Femme Fatale," both of which took place today.

And, according to sources, Spears' pay is several times what Iglesias would earn.

Enrique Iglesias has pulled out of the Britney Spears Tour

Enrique Iglesias has pulled out of the Britney Spears North American tour just hours after the tour was announced sources tell Billboard.biz


Information about the tour, including official dates, were made public early this summer moments before Spears’ pre-recorded “Good Morning America” performances aired.
But it looks like Iglesias no longer wants to be apart of Britney’s upcoming summer tour, and has since canceled.
Live Nation, the company behind promotions for the tour, just sent out a press release stating: “Enrique Iglesias is no longer on this tour,” with no further explanation given.

Britney Spears, whose Femme Fatale is out today, gave Good Morning America an exclusive today by announcing her North American tour with “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” crooner Enrique Iglesias. The trek kicks off at Sacramento, California’s Power Balance Pavilion on June 17 and wraps up on August 13 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. So far ticket sale dates have not been announced. I personally dont have the stomach to watch a live britney performance...having an idol that kills it everytime she performs(janet) its difficult for me to watch sub standard performances like this..however from some of the reviews i read..it seems like she was having a good time  so i guess that should account for something ..

JESSIE J NOT DISCOURAGED AFTER BRITNEY SPEARS SONG REJECTION

British pop sensation Jessie J is refusing to feel depressed after having her song submission for Britney Spears' new album rejected, insisting she's simply grateful for the opportunity to write for the superstar.

The singer/songwriter has become hot property in recent months since storming the European charts with her hit singles Price Tag and Do It Like A Dude, and she was invited to send in a track for Spears' upcoming release Femme Fatale.

Jessie J's tune failed to make the final cut - but the pop newcomer is far from upset.

She tells MTV News, "She probably had every major songwriter in the world write a song for her... To even have the opportunity to write a song for her is still incredible. As a songwriter, I'm still taking baby steps... It was a good song though."

Jessie J hasn't given up on the track altogether, but she admits she might struggle to convince other stars to record it - because it's all about Britney.

She says, "I may try and pitch it to someone else, but it was actually called Being Britney. So, it's actually hard to pitch it. It was a really cool song, but it is what it is; it happens for a reason."

And she still adores Spears: "For me, one thing I love about Britney Spears is she is Britney Spears - no one can come and try and steal her path, her lane and that's what I love about her. That's what the song is about: 'I'm the s**t'."

BRITNEY SPEARS - "MY MAN IS DEFINITELY RIPPED"

Who would guess that Britney Spears prefers kicking back and watching movies with her boyfriend over hitting the club?

According to the pop princess herself, she and boyfriend, Jason Trawick, are just a super normal couple."We're really normal," Spears told Ryan Seacrest Friday on his KIIS-FM morning show. "We just like to watch movies. We work out a lot. We love to work out. We do stuff together like that. We take walks."Spears also told the radio show host that her man's abs are "definitely ripped (But does he know visors are not cool?).

Seacrest, who's been friends with Trawick for awhile, remembers when his physique wasn't so muscular."I don't want to make you uncomfortable, but I knew [Jason] when he was hairy and pudgy," Seacrest told Spears. "But now he's fit and he's got zero percent body fat.""No," she protested while giggling. "He wasn't pudgy."

Spears then talked about her own workout routine. "I have a trainer," she said. "I'm on the treadmill for 30 minutes, and we do a lot of cardio and running. He kicks my butt. You pay to hate your trainer. It's so odd."

Once upon a time, there was beef between our Ladies of the Marmalade...

More recently, a certain kind of tweet-y peace had seemingly been brokered between Pink and Christina Aguilera. Still, the latter is not above a good-natured 140-character poke at her former rivals in aughties pop supremacy—two of them, actually.

Today, following Aguilera’s detainment for public intoxication, she posted to her official Twitter: “Out of Myself, Britney, and Christina—didn’t everyone think I was gonna be the troublemaker? LOOK MA!!! No CUFFS!!”

It’s true that the original don’t-let-me-get-me girl does seem to have settled happily in to married-and-expecting adulthood, raising her glass to rebellion largely in her music, and leaving the thornier tabloid adventures to Brit and Xtina.

BRITNEY SPEARS - SPECIAL CONCERT ON GMA MARCH 29TH!

Britney Spears will perform a "special concert" in San Francisco, Calif. -- to be televised on ABC's "Good Morning America" -- on Mar. 29, the same day her new album "Femme Fatale" hits stores. 

The pop star announced the performance in a 24-second video that hit the net Friday (Feb. 25). "Good morning, America," began Spears, who sounded as though she might have had a cold when taping the promo. "I'm excited to tell you on Tuesday morning, March 29, I'll be performing for the first time ever in a special concert in San Francisco's historic Castro district on 'Good Morning America.'" 

"I promise you it'll be a morning to remember," Spears ended. "See you soon!" 

The "GMA" gig is Spears' first announced live TV appearance to promote "Femme Fatale," her seventh studio album. The first single "Hold It Against Me"  debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, and the music video premiered on MTV last week to 3.5 million viewers, according to Nieslen.

Tina posted the video earlier and gave it a nice review..but i on the other hand fail to share the same sentiments with her..this video was hyped so much you would think it was going to be this generations version of thriller..everything was a big mess..the choreography was weak as hell..britney wasn't dancing....infact it seemed like she didn't want to be there..her heart wasnt into it and you could tell..its a shame really..i dont like referring to her as a puppet but this video didn't help matter.. and it surely gets the award for biggest disappointment of 2011..oh..and gaga's song is way better than this mess..its sad cos from all indications it seems as if britney doesn't  want to be a star anymore.... well thats my two scents on this.. and if you havent seen the video here it is ..
