Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon got some unlikely visitors after welcoming twins Moroccan and Monroe on April 30.

"Child Protective Services actually came to me while I was in the hallway and said that they were here to see me because there had been allegations that there was drug and alcohol use during the stay in the hospital," Cannon, 30, told CNN's Piers Morgan on Thursday.

"I was like, 'Well, how would that even be possible? How could the hospital even allow that?'"

Fortunately for the first-time parents, Child Protective Services' visit was all a big misunderstanding.

"It all started when a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness, the dark beer, the yeast improves breastfeeding," Cannon explained. "I don't know if someone heard that, but then they were saying my wife was drinking beer. People will do anything to try to conjure up a story."

"When I spoke to the person from Child Protection Services, they said, 'This is ridiculous, we're going to make sure this isn't the case,'" Cannon recalled. "To even have to deal with that, with my wife in the state that she's in while we're in the hospital, to even have to think about someone possibly wanting to investigate your children...it's sad at the end of the day."

After all, Cannon concluded, "it's really sad when you think about people trying to make a buck off newborn babies. (Source)

Mariah Carey Plans To Release New Album Later This Year

Nick cannon revealed to billboard mag that his wife plans on releasing a new record late this year..check what he had to say below
"She's planning on having a record out this year," says Cannon of Carey, who gave birth to Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon on April 30. According to Cannon, Carey completed a good amount of recording a few months ago during her pregnancy. "She's been working away, and we have a studio in the crib, and [the pregnancy] has totally inspired her on so many different levels. You're definitely gonna see some new phenomenal music from Mariah."

MARIAH & NICK REVEAL BABIES NAMES

Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon have finally revealed the names of their twins who were born in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Their son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon. Scott is Nick’s middle name, as well as his grandmother’s maiden name.

The top tier of Mariah’s New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room, because of the Moroccan-inspired decor. It’s also the place where Nick proposed to his wife, overlooking Manhattan!

Their daughter’s name is Monroe Cannon. Mariah's rep says she does not have a middle name because Mariah herself does not have one. Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Mariah her whole life.

In fact, Mariah purchased the Hollywood icon’s white piano from Christie's auction house and it is in Mariah’s will that the piano will one day go to the Smithsonian.

Mariah’s rep, Cindi Berger, tells CNN, “It has been a long, emotional journey for this family, and I couldn’t be happier for all of them.” (SOURCE)

MARIAH CAREY GIVES BIRTH AT LAST !!!!!!!

NEW YORK — Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their fourth anniversary with another milestone – becoming parents to a baby girl and boy.
Carey's representative, Cindi Berger, confirmed the births to The Associated Press. The singing superstar gave birth Saturday at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles. Berger says the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.
Berger says the couple has not named the children yet. Cannon drove Carey to the hospital in their Rolls-Royce Phantom. Berger said the 41-year-old Carey, who had gone through false labor, was calm, thinking that it was another false alarm.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Cannon was so nervous he went to the wrong department at the hospital, and was guided to the maternity ward by a nurse.
"It was like right out of an 'I Love Lucy' skit," said Berger.
Berger says they were listening to Carey's "We Belong Together" after the children were born.

The couple are expected to renew their wedding vows on Sunday. The pair got married in 2007 after a whirlwind romance. They were the subject of endless baby rumors, and the couple actually were expecting shortly after their marriage, but Carey had a miscarriage; they did not reveal the miscarriage until she announced her pregnancy last fall.

The couple plan to live a bi-coastal life, and have luxurious nurseries in both New York and Los Angeles.

NICK CANNON & MARIAH CAREY MAY HAVE TO CELEBRATE WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IN HOSPITAL!

Nick Cannon is prepared to celebrate his wedding anniversary with pregnant wife Mariah Carey in the hospital delivery room.

The entertainer and entrepreneur, who is expecting twins with the Hero hitmaker, jokes Carey may go into labour on Saturday (30Apr11), the same day the pair exchanged vows exactly three years ago.

During an appearance on U.S. chat show The Talk on Thursday (28Apr11), he says,"I'm not trying to be a psychic, but I think that, you know we get married every year, we renew our vows every year. I think we are going to renew our vows in the hospital, I can feel it... We got the minister coming in. So this gown will not be a wedding gown but a hospital gown."

But the funnyman isn't entirely kidding - he's ready to rush to the emergency room at a moment's notice.

He adds, "She is ready to just pop. It's gonna happen (soon). We were going to go to the hospital last night actually. Yeah, it's like that (close). The baby nurse (is ready). The bags? Packed. I don't even know why I'm here."

MARIAH SHOWS OFF $100,000 NURSERY

Not too long ago Mariah and Nick were featured on the cover of Life & Style magazine naked, and now Mariah is back showing off her babies’ new $100,000 nursery in their Bel-Air, Calif., estate. 

She tells the magazine:

“I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies. Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities. [It was challenging] because I had such specific ideas I wanted implemented. I feel like I’m bringing two individuals into the world, so I wanted to do more than cookie-cutter styles in blue and pink.”
“The ceiling has orangey-pink clouds in a blue sky with golden stars twinkling. It’s based on two songs I wrote that are fan favorites: Underneath the Stars and Close My Eyes. Sometimes I just sit in the nursery and stare at the ceiling because I love it so much. To me, it symbolizes wanting my children to dream as big as possible and to let their imaginations be unbridled.”
Being a mother is probably the hardest job in the world. I feel like, in a lot of ways, children come into the world to teach us. It’s going to be a delicate balance between raising them around glitz and glamour and keeping them grounded. One thing I’m sure of is that I’ll be grateful for the twins every day, no matter what.”

MARIAH CAREY NOT IN LABOR...YET!

The Mariah Carey baby watch continues!

Despite an anxious Tweet by dad-to-be Nick Cannon on Tuesday night, a rep for Mariah Carey told Access Hollywood, the singer is not giving birth yet.

“On a plane back to NY. Praying Dem Babies wait for DADDY to come back b4 they pop out! The Cornball Movement don’t stop!,” Nick Tweeted, causing speculation that wife Mariah was getting ready to give birth.

On Tuesday morning, Mariah’s rep said the singer is, in fact, still not in labor.

This isn’t the first time Nick has expressed his pre-daddy jitters on Twitter. Last week the star wrote, “I am probably going to faint in the delivery room!…I need to man up!… Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest in the whole ordeal! I am in awe of my wife!”

On Monday – following a precautionary trip to the hospital after experiencing contractions on Saturday night – Mariah Tweeted a photo showing off her blooming belly. Her stomach was painted with her signature symbol – a butterfly – with one wing painted blue for the boy she is carrying, and the other wing pink for her daughter-to-be.

Nick Cannon has sparked fresh speculation that his wife Mariah Carey could be about to give birth.

The TV host tweeted a message around two hours ago saying that he was on a flight back to New York and that he was 'praying' their unborn twins waited for daddy before they 'pop out'.

Nick was pictured at Los Angeles LAX Airport yesterday making his way back to the Big Apple.

It comes just days after Mariah had a false alarm when she was rushed to hospital with contractions.

Diva Babies Tried To Make An Early Appearance!

Mariah Carey almost got two surprises on her birthday. The pregnant diva thought she was going into early labor with her twins over the weekend, but it was only a false alarm.

Mimi was rushed to the hospital on the eve of her birthday, thinking that her twins were coming sooner than expected. “So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital,” she shared on Twitter.


But despite the labor pains, Mariah and Nick’s babies will wait to make their grand entrance. “Finally they said I could come home after they got it under control but they almost came on 3/27- happy anniversary in deed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but- wow!!!: ) #soreadyallready!”

MARIAH CAREYS "PINK & BLUE" BABY SHOWER

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated the impending birth of their twins with a lavish baby shower held over the weekend in Beverly Hills.


The happy couple arrived to the Conservatory Grill at the Montage Hotel in a black Rolls-Royce, given from Cannon to Mimi as a Christmas gift, reports PEOPLE. Guests including Randy Jackson dined at cocktail tables decorated with pink roses and blue hydrangeas, colors representing the genders of their expected boy and girl babies.


After the evening event, the mom-to-be posted a blog thanking all of her guests for attending. “Thank you SO much to all who came to the baby shower last night and all who couldn’t be there but sent such beautiful presents and sweet messages!” wrote the dashing diva, who was presented with an “Always Be My Babies” Lamb book from her fans.


“FYI-we so had a ‘moment’ in the middle of the shower when they presented the book to me and everyone thought it was the cutest, most thoughtful thing ever! Clearly, only the Lambs would swing something like that home!!!” she continued. “It was the best moment of the night. I can’t wait for the twins to read the messages and feel the love!!!”

MARIAH CAREY & NICK CANNON EXPECTING TWINS

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are about to be parents twice over. Nick revealed that he and his wife are expecting twins.

“My wife at one time, she referred to her stomach as they and that probably wasn’t the wrong thing for her to do. That’s all I’m gonna say,” he told “E! News.” The “America’s Got Talent” host also mentioned “new additions” to his family in an online holiday greeting card.

The babies are due early next year, but Nick wouldn’t disclose their gender.

LEGENDARY SINGER MARIAH CAREY CONFIRMS HER PREGNANCY AT LAST

"Yes, we are pregnant. This is true," Carey, 41, said on the Today show Thursday morning as part of a sneak peek at a three-part Access Hollywood interview. The pregnancy is her first with husband Nick Cannon, 29.
