CHRIS BROWN TO PERFORM FOR "TODAY SHOW" SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Chris Brown has been named one of the performers to take part in the 'Today Show' Toyota Concert Series.


Brown hasn't performed on the 'Today Show' in three years and is slated to appear July 15. Although his set list hasn't been revealed, the 22-year-old will likely perform music off his 'F.A.M.E.' album, which has sold over 500,000 copies since its release back in March.


This summer, the 'Today Show' is continuing its reputation for bringing some of music's biggest stars to its outside stage. Bruno Mars, Cee Lo Green, Rihanna, Maroon 5 and Pitbull with special guest T-Pain and Ne-Yo are just some of the names on the bill. 
The Toyota Concert Series takes place every Friday on the top rated morning show, and will wrap up September 2 with Lenny Kravitz.

TIMBALAND SIGNS WITH SONY\ATV FOR 75 SONG DEAL

Legendary producer Timbaland has partnered with Extreme Music -- Sony/ATV Music Publishing's production house -- to produce 75 exclusive tracks for use in television shows, films and video games.

According to AllHipHop.com, Timbaland and Mike "Daddy" Evans will collaborate to create 75 "Urban Pop songs with a stunning lineup of new talent from Timbaland Productions" for Extreme Music, which has provided library music to music supervisors for shows like '30 Rock,' 'Glee,' 'Entourage' and films 'Avatar' and 'Inception.'

"I'm looking forward to unleashing the Timbaland Productions crew on this exciting new project," Timbaland said of the collaboration. "The songs we're producing for Extreme are gonna blow people's minds."

Last week, Sony's music production house revealed a similar collaboration with rapper Xzibit, who has been signed on to craft 40 original compositions for a compilation entitled 'Urban Ammo 2.'

Founded in 1997, the self-described "bad boys of production music" have also signed deals with Snoop Dogg, Quincy Jones, composer Hans Zimmer and dance producers Paul Oakenfold and Junkie XL.

Timbaland is currently working on his fourth solo album, 'Shock Value III,' which will likely feature longtime collaborators Missy Elliott and Keri Hilson, alongside Chris Brown and many more. (The Boom Box)

The Chris Brown collabos keep coming. Having already worked with teen idol Justin Bieber, Breezy logged studio time with another pop heartthrob, Joe Jonas. Hit-Boy, who produced the record, tweeted a photo of the three in the lab, writing, “Just did a smash! Whoooo.” The track may appear on the Jonas brother’s solo debut, which he describes as “electro indie pop rock.”

CHRIS BROWN SETS RECORD RATINGS FOR DWTS

Chris Brown brings record numbers to ABC - It was the best-ever season -opening results show for "Dancing" and - with nearly 19 million viewers - a whopping 31 percent increase over the same week last year.

Chris even got two standing ovations for his performances of "Forever" - "Beautiful People" and "Yeah X3"

CHRIS BROWN IS SITTING ON TOP!

Chris Brown’s fans have spoken. After a tumultuous past couple years, the R&B singer has emerged back on top with his fourth album F.A.M.E.

The LP, led by the singles “Yeah 3X,” “Look at Me Now,” and “Beautiful People,” debuts at No. 1 on this week’s chart with 270,000 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.


F.A.M.E., an acronym for Forgiving All My Enemies and Fans Are My Everything, marks Breezy’s first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and second-best sales week of his career. His 2005 eponymous debut dropped at No. 2, 2007’s Exclusive landed at No. 4, and 2009’s Graffiti settled at No. 7.


The 21-year-old celebrated his success by bigging up Team Breezy. “I wanna thank all of my fans for making my album number 1 in the country!! I love you! We did it,” he tweeted. “I live for my music!! I survive for my fans!!!”

Elsewhere on the chart, Jennifer Hudson scores a No. 2 debut with her sophomore set I Remember Me, which moved 165,000 units. The digital-only charity compilation Songs for Japan sold 68,000 copies and enters at No. 6, while Bobby V’s Fly on the Wall rests at No. 9 with 38,000 and Lupe Fiasco’s third album Lasers drops from No. 3 to 10 with an additional 29,000 copies sold.
