SNAPPED! JENNIFER HUDSON IN NYC!

Jennifer Hudson was SNAPPED! recently in NYC on her way into Regis & Kelly's studio to promote her new single "No One Gonna Love You". 
She looks great....but....I honestly feel this skirt is too short and Ill tell you why (I was also very over weight at one time and lost a lot of it so I know from where I speak) - Jenn used to be large and a lot of that weight was in her ass and legs so therefore she has a lot of loose skin, pantyhose would hold that together much better. I do not find the short shirt with no hose for support attractive at all and I LOVE me some JHud!

JENNIFER HUDSON & ZIGGY MARLEY TO LEAD BOB MARLEY WEEK ON FALLON

(Billboard) - Ziggy Marley, Chris Cornell, Jennifer Hudson, Jakob Dylan and Lenny Kravitz will pay tribute to Bob Marley on  NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" next week. The tribute to Marley, which begins May 9, honors the 30th anniversary of his death.

Ziggy Marley, the oldest son of the reggae legend, will talk about his father in addition to performing. Soundgarden singer Cornell will perform May 10, Hudson is on the 11th, Dylan on the 12th and Kravitz on the 13th. None of the songs being performed have been announced, nor have specifics on how the show's house band, the Roots, will be involved.

Anheuser-Busch is sponsoring the week and Universal Music Enterprise will be promoting its recent release of Marley's final concert held at the Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Sept.  23, 1980.

Ziggy Marley's next album, "Wild and Free," is due out June 14. Cornell will release a solo live acoustic album in the fall.

Jennifer Hudson showed off her slim figure last night at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Performing for the likes of Claire Danes, Francisco Costa, and Alessandra Ambrosio, the “Where You At” songstress dazzled in a sparkly cocktail dress that complemented her skinny frame.

JENNIFER HUDSON EXPLAINS HER ALBUM TITLE

The singer-and-actress - whose mother Darnell Donnerson was murdered in October 2008 along with her brother Jason Hudson and seven-year-old nephew Julian - shot to fame after competing on 'American Idol' in 2004 and says she chose the title of her new album, 'I Remember Me', to reflect the changes which have taken place in her life, including becoming a mother to son David, now 20 months.

She said: "The name of the album is 'I Remember Me', I came up with the title as I always say that in 29 years I feel like I have lived four different lives. I almost can't even recognise that person from ten years ago.

"I'm looking at me now and I'm like, 'Who am I?' not just physically, but even when I look around at my environment, this wasn't here ten years ago and I wasn't who I am today.

"The way to identify myself is from my hands and from a familiar face. Those are the things that make me say, 'Oh, I remember this, I remember that, I remember me and who I used to be.' That's where the name of the album came from."

Jennifer loved working on her new album with collaborators including Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo and R. Kelly and says it was a very different experience to when she recorded her self-titled debut LP, which was released three years ago.

She said: "It didn't take as long of a process to record this album as it did the first one. It's also a completely different experience. I feel like it's at the next level and I'm in a different place. I feel like album reflects that and there's a real energy from all the people I worked with."

Jennifer's single 'I Remember Me' is out now, and her album will be released in the UK on April 25. (Times Live)

CHRIS BROWN IS SITTING ON TOP!

Chris Brown’s fans have spoken. After a tumultuous past couple years, the R&B singer has emerged back on top with his fourth album F.A.M.E.

The LP, led by the singles “Yeah 3X,” “Look at Me Now,” and “Beautiful People,” debuts at No. 1 on this week’s chart with 270,000 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.


F.A.M.E., an acronym for Forgiving All My Enemies and Fans Are My Everything, marks Breezy’s first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and second-best sales week of his career. His 2005 eponymous debut dropped at No. 2, 2007’s Exclusive landed at No. 4, and 2009’s Graffiti settled at No. 7.


The 21-year-old celebrated his success by bigging up Team Breezy. “I wanna thank all of my fans for making my album number 1 in the country!! I love you! We did it,” he tweeted. “I live for my music!! I survive for my fans!!!”

Elsewhere on the chart, Jennifer Hudson scores a No. 2 debut with her sophomore set I Remember Me, which moved 165,000 units. The digital-only charity compilation Songs for Japan sold 68,000 copies and enters at No. 6, while Bobby V’s Fly on the Wall rests at No. 9 with 38,000 and Lupe Fiasco’s third album Lasers drops from No. 3 to 10 with an additional 29,000 copies sold.

MY TOP 3 FAVORITE OSCAR PERFORMANCES

With the Oscars coming on Sunday night I thought I'd share my top 3 favorite performances.
Number One has to be Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce in 2007~

When "Dreamgirls" co-stars Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson took the stage at the 2007 Academy Awards, all anyone wanted to know was which diva would come out on top. The performance turned out be mostly a draw, as Beyoncé and Hudson both had their moments to shine during "Love You I Do," "Listen" and "Patience." Unfortunately, none of the songs won that night, but Hudson enjoyed a sweeter victory with her Best Supporting Actress Oscar win. 
Take that, Simon Cowell!


My Next Fav is Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On in 1998 ~

Anyone who lived through 1998 knows that it was the year of "Titanic." The James Cameron-helmed epic made box office history and walked away with nearly all of the top Academy Awards -- including "Best Original Song," of course, for Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On." The beloved Canadian songstress performed the winning ballad with a full backing orchestra and appropriately dramatic fog. Dion wore a Heart of the Ocean-lookalike necklace that would make Rose jealous, and her impassioned glory notes satisfied every "Titanic" fan's desire for a blockbuster-caliber performance

Last but definitely not least - Michael Jackson Singing Ben in 1973 ~

At just 14 years old, Michael Jackson stole the 1973 Oscar show with his performance of "Ben," a heartfelt ballad about a boy's friendship with a rat from the movie of the same name. Audience members appeared breathless while they watched the future King of Pop sing in such an impressive range. It may have lost the "Best Original Song" award that year, but "Ben" was Jackson's first No. 1 hit without the Jackson 5, and the beginning of a history-making solo career.

Jennifer Hudson traveled to a dark place for her latest film role. The Oscar-winning actress stayed in a prison cell for three days so she could channel apartheid-era icon Winnie Mandela for a biopic.

In order to depict the 500-plus days the former wife of Nelson Mandela spent in solitary confinement, the svelte Hudson confined herself day and night to a prison set in South Africa. She tells Newsweek that she wanted to “experience some of the hell that woman went through.”

By the third day, she started to lose her mind. Her physical appearance had deteriorated and she was having imaginary conversations with her son. The harrowing experience left her emotionally and physically exhausted. “They snatched her out of her home and she had no idea what happened to her children,” Hudson says of Mandela. “Imagine living that? This was her life! This was real. As a woman, I am angry for her, hurting for her. And as a mom? God, being in solitary confinement, away from my son just for five days when shooting those scenes—it was too much for me. I was drained and stripped down. I was changed.”

The film has stirred controversy after the real Winnie Mandela threatened legal action to halt production. It is expected to hit theaters by September, while Hudson’s sophomore album I Remember Me is due March 22.
