Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae Announce Joint Tour

Following their show-stopping performance at the Grammy Awards, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae will team up for a North American co-headlining tour. The retro-pop singer and R&B songstress will embark on the joint trek, dubbed Hooligans in Wondaland, in May and June, with British singer/rapper Plan B set to open on select dates.

Before they kick off their road trip together, both artists will kick off their own European runs in the coming weeks -- Mars' will begin in Berlin, Germany on Mar. 3, while Monae will start her run in Brussels, Belgium on Feb. 20. Tour dates and venues for the Wondaland tour have yet to be announced.

Mars, Monae, and Atlanta rapper B.o.B earned a standing ovation for their Grammy performance, in which Mars played a doo-wop riff on his former Hot 100 chart-topper "Grenade" and Monae crowd-surfed while singing "Cold War." Mars also walked away with the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance trophy for "Just the Way You Are," the first single from his debut album "Doo-Wops and Hooligans."

Mars is currently in Los Angeles shooting a video for his next "Doo-Wops" single, "The Lazy Song," and will stay in the city for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game, where he'll perform at the Pregame Show on Sunday (Feb. 20).

MICHAEL JACKSON: his new album michael will start selling like hot cake when singles start to be released .it will be named album of the year and will produces several chart smashes.. Conrad Murray will plead innocent ..but will die at the end of the year mysteriously

.JANET JACKSON: will have a successful world tour .. the would be so much demand for the tour that she will have to add more tour dates ..she will be offered more movie roles but will put it on hold to record a new album as new music from her is in demand!

BEYONCE: Will have a huge come back ..number 1 album ..number 1 songs ..more endorsements and she will continue to solidify her place as the biggest pop star of this generation

RIHANNA: Sadly she will continue to reign on the charts and her album will sell very well..but she still will not be able to get chris brown out of her mouth

CHRIS BROWN: Will have a successful comeback ..saying that his album will debut at number 1 is pushing it but he will do decent numbers ..F.A.M.E hopefully will be a great album!

CIARA : Will leave jive or will be dropped  either way i think its for the best

WILLOW SMITH : 2011 will be her year ..she going to have several smashes on the chart and her album will be critically acclaimed ..she might debut at number 1 and will take the world by storm

JOJO/JORDIN SPARKS ; Both will release very decent albums  that will start of slow but eventually achieve moderate success ..the will have many songs charting on the charts

LADY GAGA : Her new album will  disappoint ..her star power will start to fade and the media will be very harsh:

TAYLOR SWIFT: Peoples minds will start to open about  how awful her music really is

BRITNEY SPEARS : WILL release a successful album and a big tour  .just like the circus era

LEONA LEWIS : Will attempt a dance record and fail horribly in the usa ..she will how ever remain a big star in the uk and europe as a whole

JENNIFER HUDSON : will release an album that will be slept on..nobody will even  know that she exists

TOP 10 PERFORMANCES OF 2010, CHRIS BROWN ,JANET JACKSON, USHER ,WILLOW SMITH ETC

2010  was a year of  of breathtaking and electrifying performances from various artists ..the following performances below were the  stand outs this year  ..this is my list of my top 10 ..tell my what you think and yours at the comment section below this post

10. FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE -DOG DAYS ARE OVER (VMAS)
this performance speaks for itself

MARIAH AND PATRICIA CAREY COME OH YE FAITHFUL
i couldn't find the performance i wanted to post but her performance on the christmas special was definitely memorable ..she showed why she is still maybe the greatest vocalist alive!! good stuff

GLEE --DONT STOP BELIEVING (X-FACTOR LIVE)

Many watch this popular tv show glee ..and am sure many of you like myself are addicts ..now people think they are just studio acts but this performance proves that they are able to sing as good live as they do on their studio recordings ..the performance was energy filled from start to finish and their vocals were flawless..this definitely deserved to be on my list

RKELLY WHEN A WOMAN LOVES(SOUL TRAIN AWARDS)
All i will say about this performance is that..the is a reason why rkelly will always be in a league of his own..the is no new r&b act that can put on a performance as captivating as this one ..trey songz take not

USHER OMG/DJ GOT US FALLING IN LOVE(VMAS)
Usher used to be one of my favorite artist  but this changed when he stopped putting energy in his performances..now this VMA awards performance redeemed my faith in him as a perform and it seems the public agrees with me as  his tour is  in high demand ! good stuff.

WILLOW SMITH WHIP MY HAIR (ELLEN PERFORMANCE)
Hands down the greatest superstar to breakout this year ..willow smith made a debut performance on her ellen like she had been doing this  for years!! her vocals and energy was on point .rihanna needs to take note.

PATTI LABELLE PURPLE RAIN(BET AWARDS)
her tribute to prince took me to heaven and back..had me praising jesus the whole time..simply jaw dropping

JANELLE MONAE -LETS GO CRAZY(BET AWARDS)

This is one of the best performances  i have ever seen and if it weren't for the fact that the top 2 performances were so good this would have been the performance of the year ...i had no idea who janelle  was before this .i heard about her but this really introduced me to the artist .,what a performance ..and you can see from the video that prince enjoyed the performance as much as i did as  he asked her to open for him with his recent concerts and has called her  his favorite artist of the moment ..such energy she exudes is lacking from many performers today

JANET JACKSON-AGAIN/NOTHING /NASTY MEDLY (AMERICAN IDOL)
This performance showed miss Jackson in a Light that  this new  generation didn't know about , not only did she look AMAZING in her  cat suit but her opening line of again showed that she's as much a good vocalist as she is a dancer...her vocals was near to pitch perfect and sounded better than her cd recording and her performance of nasty  was  just jaw dropping ,her change of wardrobe was just .... from a beautiful dress to a eye popping cat suit ....definitely a highlight of this year.

CHRIS BROWN THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL/REMEMBER THE TIME/BILLEJEAN MEDLY (BET AWARDS)

The best michael jackson tribute  ever..this performance was simply moving  had me and many others in tears ..if the was ever a performance that put chris brown back into prominence after the incident ..then it was this ..in my head its the performance that saved his career ...michael was definitely smiling down that  day and would be very proud!! this is hands down the performance of the year

Prince Brings Out Alica keys,Spike lee,Whoopi Goldberg, Jamie Foxx, and Naomi Campbell @ Madison Sqare Garden Concert

Prince kicked off his 'Welcome to America' tour on Dec.15 at New Jersey's Izod Center to great praise. But, his return to New York's Madison Square Garden proved a star-studded affair and a full-out party.
The Minnesota native has enlisted some of his favorite artists to include Esperanza SpauldingCassandra WilsonLalah Hathaway and Janelle Monae to join him for his latest trek.
And, although none of the aforementioned ladies turned up at the Dec.18 show, from the start fans of The Purple One were in for a treat.
Comedian Sinbad introduced Larry Graham and Graham Central Station who opened the show. Graham, the founder and frontman of the group, is best known for being the bass guitar player in the psychedelic funk outfit Sly & the Family Stone.
The 'Purple Rain' singer sampled their infectious hit 'Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)' for the title track to his 'Musicology' album. As the group exited the guitar-shaped stage singing that song they went through the crowd and Prince surfaced with his band in an all-black get-up playing guitar. It was only 8:30pm and fans went wild as Graham and the Graham Central Station returned to the stage for a jam session with Prince, his band and background singers.
After a brief intermission, a new song 'Welcome to America' played for a few minutes. Then, Prince made his grand entrance in a silver glitter vest, long-sleeved black top and black and white tuxedo pant running through a string of hits to include 'Let's Go Crazy,' 'Delirious,' '1999' and 'Cream.' Fans on the floor broke out into the electric side when he played 'Cool.'
And, Misty Copeland, who is the first black female soloist for the American Ballet Theatre and appears in the advertisements for the 'Welcome to America' tour, performed ballet moves during the performance of 'Beautiful Ones.'
Prince's protégé, Sheila E, appeared on stage for 'You Got the Look' and then performed her breakout single 'Glamorous Life.' Despite her upscale gown, Sheila E showed she still knows how to get down and broke down the song on the drums.
To close, Prince, who made a quick costume change to a red sequenced number, invited out all of the celebrities in the audience to join him on stage. After she professed her love for him on 'The View,' Sherri Shepherd was one of the first names that he called up. Then, Alicia Keys, Sinbad, Cornell WestSpike Lee and family,Whoopi GoldbergJohn LeguizamoTavis SmileyJamie Foxx, and Naomi Campbell grabbed tambourines and danced around the stage to 'Love Bizarre.'
Prince's 'Welcome to America' tour will return to Madison Square Garden on Dec.29  source

Rolling Stone's Best Singles of 2010

10.
Kanye West feat. Jay-Z,Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver
"Monster"
On this rumbling id-fest, Minaj delivers the cameo of the year, switching personae and voices like she's rap's Meryl Streep. Kanye has the good sense to let her go on for 31 thrilling bars.
9.Broken Bells
"The Ghost Inside"
This noirish jam mixes Danger Mouse's steely funk with a creepily addictive chorus from the Shins' James Mercer. Bet you loosen your collar.
8.Janelle Monáe feat. Big Boi
"Tightrope"
Sister-from-another-planet Monáe delivers a ferocious, horn-splashed burner that mashes up Cab Calloway, hip-hop, James Brown and art-pop wackiness.
7.Vampire Weekend
"White Sky"
Synth foam, perky digital rhythms, joyful whoops and African-flavored guitars. The sound of a young band discovering how much is possible.
6.Mavis Staples
"You Are Not Alone"
A modern hymn, written by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and sung with maternal assurance by the voice that once told you to "Respect Yourself."
5.Arcade Fire
"We Used to Wait"
"Now our lives are changing fast," sings Win Butler, spooked and sleepless. But his empathetic croon — and his band's orchestral- rock wallop — make high anxiety sound almost sublime.
4.Katy Perry
"Teenage Dream"
Co-written by Max Martin and Dr. Luke, this buoyant electro-pop singalong is 2010's catchiest tune. As for that "teenage dream," Perry doesn't mince words: "Let's go all the way tonight."
3.Sade
"Soldier of Love"
Nobody knows where Sade disappears to for years at a time between hits, but "Soldier of Love" proves she knows how to make a hell of a re-entrance. She sings about emotional devastation over a beat that mixes quiet-storm synths with acid-damaged riffs straight out of TV on the Radio's playbook. It's as close as she's ever come to blowing her cool.
2.Cee Lo Green
"Fuck You"
The title alone would have guaranteed hundreds of thousands of Web clicks. But Cee Lo didn't just say "Fuck you" – he said it with humor and serious panache. Despite the bummed-out lyrics, the Motown-style beat is DayGlo-bright, and Cee Lo's lovelorn lament doubles as an anthem for lean times: "If I was richer/I'd still be with ya/Ha, now ain't that some shit?"
1.Kanye West feat. Pusha T
"Runaway"
It takes a special kind of dark, twisted genius to raise the white flag of surrender while raising a middle finger. Kanye West is that genius. "Runaway" is Kanye's musical response to the Taylor Swift affair, but it's much more than that: a nine-minute meditation on romantic failure and public infamy. Kanye creates a huge, eerie beat out of thunderous drums and plinking piano, and he turns the phrase "Let's have a toast for the douchebags" into a refrain nearly as catchy as "She loves you — yeah, yeah, yeah." In 2010, no other song was so crazily epic or jaw-droppingly gorgeous — not on the radio, not anywhere. Now, everyone raise your glasses.
am not even going to bother commenting about this list, what do you folks think about it?
