MY TOP 3 FAVORITE OSCAR PERFORMANCES

With the Oscars coming on Sunday night I thought I'd share my top 3 favorite performances.
Number One has to be Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce in 2007~

When "Dreamgirls" co-stars Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson took the stage at the 2007 Academy Awards, all anyone wanted to know was which diva would come out on top. The performance turned out be mostly a draw, as Beyoncé and Hudson both had their moments to shine during "Love You I Do," "Listen" and "Patience." Unfortunately, none of the songs won that night, but Hudson enjoyed a sweeter victory with her Best Supporting Actress Oscar win.
Take that, Simon Cowell!

My Next Fav is Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On in 1998 ~

Anyone who lived through 1998 knows that it was the year of "Titanic." The James Cameron-helmed epic made box office history and walked away with nearly all of the top Academy Awards -- including "Best Original Song," of course, for Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On." The beloved Canadian songstress performed the winning ballad with a full backing orchestra and appropriately dramatic fog. Dion wore a Heart of the Ocean-lookalike necklace that would make Rose jealous, and her impassioned glory notes satisfied every "Titanic" fan's desire for a blockbuster-caliber performance

Last but definitely not least - Michael Jackson Singing Ben in 1973 ~

At just 14 years old, Michael Jackson stole the 1973 Oscar show with his performance of "Ben," a heartfelt ballad about a boy's friendship with a rat from the movie of the same name. Audience members appeared breathless while they watched the future King of Pop sing in such an impressive range. It may have lost the "Best Original Song" award that year, but "Ben" was Jackson's first No. 1 hit without the Jackson 5, and the beginning of a history-making solo career.

Celine Dion will make her sixth appearance on the Academy Awards during this Sunday's telecast, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. on ABC. That is more performances than any other artist in the 83-year history of the Oscars!

Oscars producer Don Mischer personally invited Celine to sing as part of the tribute to celebrities who have died over the past year. She will perform Charlie Chaplin's "Smile."

Awards, of course, are nothing new for Celine. Over the past 30 years, she has collected five Grammy Awards, 12 World Music Awards, seven American Music Awards, 21 Juno Awards, 39 Felix Awards—and Academy Awards for both "My Heart Will Go On" and "Beauty and the Beast." She was also nominated for "The Prayer" and "Because You Love Me."

Celine Dions Baby Boys Going Home!

Celine Dion delivered the fraternal twins last Saturday, but they were on an incubator following their birth as they were born prematurely and yesterday Doctors gave her the OK to go home with the boys.

Their names -  Nelson and Eddy.
The babies were named, not for the  American opera singer who appeared in  1930s movies, but for a musical colleague and a Nobel Prize winner. The name Eddy comes from Eddy Marnay, who produced Dion's first five albums and who Celine and Rene have a great respect and love for and Nelson is named after former South African President Nelson Mandela, whom Dion met two years ago while kicking off her would tour in South Africa.
"Rene said that in just the few minutes they were able to spend with him, they were impressed by the human being he is," the rep told People Magazine adding, "Celine and Rene want their children to be inspired by their names, because they were so inspired by these men."

Quote ~
“It should be known worldwide that this team [of doctors] agrees that Celine and Rene [Angelil] are clearly one of the most caring and kind individuals that they have ever cared for,” Dr. Ackerman previously said in a statement released to Access Hollywood. “Today is not the end, but the beginning of two new lives.”

Celine Dion is Married to Rene Angelil who is also her Manager and they have one other Child, also a son named René-Charles Dion Angélil.

Congratulations on your new additions Celine and Rene!
