In what could be the cutest video of the week, Internet users are shown that some of Lady Gaga's Little Monsters are, in fact, quite little.
When Maria Aragon, a 10-year-old girl from Winnipeg, Canada, covered "Born This Way," she probably never expected that nearly a million and half people would see her YouTube clip of the song in just two days' time -- or that the Mother Monster herself would Tweet about the video, saying "Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future." Even Ellen expressed her public agreement, in the form of a Tweet.
Needless to say, Aragon's stripped-down rendition of Gaga's latest single, which is Billboard's 1000th No. 1 song on the Hot 100 as of this week, showcases the aspiring singer's big voice and keyboard skills.
According Toronto's CityNews, Aragon and Gaga herself will team up today (Feb. 18), when the youngster performs "Born This Way" on Toronto's Virgin Radio 99.9 in at 3:30 p.m. with the Mother Monster on the phone.
Will Lady Gaga be to Maria Aragon what Usher was to Justin Bieber? Time will only tell, but we'll say this: Canadian YouTube stars are coming to be a safe bet in this industry.
