(Reuters) - Michael Jackson’s sister La Toya Jackson and singers Dionne Warwick and Meat Loaf are among the cast of the new season of “The Celebrity Apprentice”, NBC announced Friday.
They will be joined by baseball star Jose Canseco and former Partridge Family teen idol David Cassidy when the television competition show hosted by Donald Trump returns on March 6.
The celebrity version of the shows features business-style challenges in which the rich and famous compete to raise money for charity, rather than a job with Trump.
Last season the contestants on “”The Celebrity Apprentice” raised over $1,250,000 for charity, NBC said.
Among the other 16 contestants in the 11th season are rock singer Mark McGrath, actress Marlee Matlin, actor Gary Busey and reality TV star Richard Hatch, best known as the first winner of “Survivor” who later served a prison sentence for failing to declare his $1 million prize to tax authorities.
Previous winners have included comedian Joan Rivers, rock singer Bret Michaels, and British TV personality Piers Morgan.
