The Spike Lee classic, Malcolm X was chosen by The Library of Congress as one of the 25 films that will be preserved in its National Film Registry and among them is.
The National Film Registry began in 1989, with an intent to preserve films with artistic, cultural or historical meaning.
There are over 500 films being preserved by the registry including classics such as "Toy Story," "Rocky," and "Shaft."
The 1992 biography depicting the life of Civil Rights leader Malcolm X is riddled with a star cast and powerful cameos. Denzel Washington, Angela Bassett, Reverend Al Sharpton and Nelson Mandela are just a few of the people who filled out the roles illustrating those days and times.
If you have never seen this movie - you must have been living under a rock!! SEE IT NOW!! I've personally watched it more times than I can actually count, this is a very powerful movie.
Congratulations to Spike and everyone involved in this movie!!
