I really hate to drone on about this MTV thing but right now, with all the bad thats happening with all these interviews - we need a win. Even a small win - after the Gardner School Cover Removing (BIG WIN) we are more motivated than ever!! We can do this!! Yes, We Can << Stolen From Obama!
All we are asking is that MTV put Michael Jackson's name back on the Video Vanguard\Lifetime Achievement Award. In 1991 they renamed this award with Michael Jackson's name as part of the actual award name "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard - Lifetime Achievement Award" given to a chosen few who changed the face of MTV and Video\Music - since Michael was "THE" Video and Music Master, naturally his name should be on it...no??
- In 2001 it was given to U2 and was presented as the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
- In 2003 it was given to Duran Duran and was presented as The Lifetime Achievement Award.
- It was most recently given to Hype Williams for achievements in Film Making.
We started a Petition that we can present to MTV as part of our plea to make this right again. There is no reason not to. Please sign this Petition and pass it around - we are aiming for 10,000 signatures but more would be much better, its not like we don't have LOADS of time before the next MTV VMA's!!
